BYU Ward Carolers

Just a few minutes ago, BYU students came to lift Logan's spirits with beautiful hymn-singing. He loved it and sang along as best he could. It was great!

Logan, I have never seen you with so many cuties. I ought to get my head chopped open. [I am writing this one anonymously so my wife does not get mad.]

Dduuhhhh...i forgot to writte the joke for today:

There was a man who had worked all of his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real miser when it came to his money. He told his wife, "When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me."
And so he got his wife to promise him with all of her heart that when he died, she would put all of the money in the casket with him.

Well, he died. He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was sitting there in black, and her friend was sitting next to her.

When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said, "Wait just a minute!"

She had a box with her, she came over with the box and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down, and they rolled it away.

So her friend said, "Girl, I know you weren't fool enough to put all that money in there with your husband." The loyal wife replied,

"Listen, I'm a Christian, I can't go back on my word. I promised him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him."

"You mean to tell me you put that money in the casket with him!!!!?"

"I sure did," said the wife. "I got it all together, put it into my account and wrote him a check. If he can cash it, he can spend it."

Logan, I'm so happy you're doing so much better. That is so great to hear. I don't know of anyone who has had a better attitude throughout a huge process like this. Well, it will be great to see you tomorrow!

Let me get this straight. Only five days (or four) after major brain surgery you are:
1) eating, drinking, walking and talking
2) taking showers with the female nurses (and they wear raincoats, right?)
3) surrounded by a bevvy of beautiful BYU co-eds who are serenading you, and
4) you're heading home in a day or two

Now tell me again why we should feel sorry for you?

Just kidding. The incredible power of your faith and the prayers of hundreds, plus the amazing faith and love of your family have worked miracles. Okay, we'll give the docs a few kudos as well.

You're amazing Logan. And after reading all those wonderful comments about your singing voice, I am anxious to hear it first hand - I've not heard you sing yet.
Do you want to do a duet with Blake?

We love you and you're still in our prayers.

Karen & Michael and family

p.s. Extra congrats for passing the CT exam. And you didn't even have to study!

HELLOGANNNNNN!!!

Just dropping a line to say hi. Suzy says hi, too. Lucas says, "WAArrbbblurgWaA." It makes me proud that my son can speak in tongues at such a young age. I just wish I was in tune with the spirit enough to understand what he means. I was in tune with the spirit for a while, but then I took a shower with this nurse and...

I wish we were close enough to come visit you. I'd be there in a heartbeat. Not because I care that much about you; I'm just bored. We don't have cable.

Seriously, though. I would love to play a game with cards with you at your bedside. Then we could start humming that weird song that we always used to sing, that doesn't really have any words, but a lot of Bah Bah Bah Bah's and doodle oo-doos.

It's a good thing nobody really reads this blog, anyway, cause this probably doesn't make any sense. Lij knows.

Anyway, you're a good sport man. Keep your chin up and your head closed.

P.S.
I never knew you were from New Zealand.
